Answer: I think it's false. Words can hurt a lot; even more than physical bullying. Words can cause a person to be hurt emotionally and feel helpless, sad, angry, confused and intimidated. In the worst case, some people that are hurt by words can also commit suicide. In other cases which are not very major, the bullied may get mental distress. So the conclusion is that words can hurt more than anything else. We all should be aware of the words that we use, and try not to hurt others. (:
Question: a) What are your views in pursuing a career with the gaming industry, especially in Singapore?
Answer: We find that it's not very appropriate to get a job in the gaming industry as it will consume alot of time and effort to come up with a game and the different characters. Also, there is a high chance that the person himself/herself may get addicted to the games, and it will also affect the person in his mindset. The person may also get influenced, and not concentrate on other things. The person will also gradually change and be influenced by the game he/she is creating/working on.
Question: b) What qualities does Jason Chionh have that allow him to do what he wish to do?
Answer: He has much knowledge about computer gaming and therefore can produce very interesting and creative new games.
Question: what should John do? Should he open the file attachment? Should he buy the medicine?
Answer: John should not open the attachment because he do not know who the user is and the file may contain viruses. Also, he should not buy the medicine as he does not know whether it is trustable or not. The medcine may not even exist in the first place, or it might also not cure him at all.
Question: Do girls her age normally think like this? Also, do you think its appropriate to go into a relationship at your age?
Ans: Most girls around her age usually do have the same mentality as her. That's because they do not know the real meaning of love and sex. They think that if someone treats them very good, that means that the person loves her. But in fact, they do not know what that person is thinking. It could just be a gimmick to take advantage of the girl. Also, they think that having sex means that the relationship could last longer. But the boy/man could be just flirting and have done the same thing with other girls. At this age, it is inappropriate to get into a relationship as it will have a negative impact on our studies and cause us to lose concentration. It is best now to just focus on our academics and wait until we are older and more matured to get into a relationship.
We learnt on lesson 1, that we should know what information to reveal, and what not to reveal. Like your address, mobile phone number, etc.. Those shouldn't be revealed to anyone on the internet, especially in games. (: Also, what we post online is also very important.. We shouldn't post things like scolding people or insulting them. Besides, we also learnt that we should not lie online, as that will cause ourselves to be a liar habitually! Most important of all, our identity online is public, and not private. Hence we should really take note of what we post online! :D
